Our Leadership Team

Since its inception, Johnston Millwork has been a family owned-business. Founded by the Johnston family in 1986, the company was purchased by the Hochstatter family in 1993 and then the Duran family in 2018. Today, Martin Duran serves as the President of Johnston Millwork.

Martin’s story embodies the American entrepreneurial spirit. He rose through the ranks at Johnston Millwork – starting out as a young craftsman at Johnston Millwork in the 1990’s and then setting out on his own in 2003 with his own custom cabinetry shop. There, Martin perfected his craft – designing, building and finishing kitchens, entertainment centers, vanities and closets: all customized to meet each Client’s individual needs.

In 2018 an opportunity arose for Martin to return “home.” He and his family purchased Johnston Millwork and merged his thriving custom cabinetry business into the company. Today, the company has been re-energized and re-imagined – building new showrooms, updating the custom and molding shops and hiring the best craftsmen in California.
