What is a Door Jamb Kit?

Our doors are prepped and pre-hung in our facility to ensure that everything fits perfectly based on your specifications. We generally pre-hung the unit and don’t break it down for delivery. If a customer requests a knock down unit we can do that. We delivery units but we don’t ship anything out to customers via a 3rd party carrier.

If you are interested in adding a pre-hung option to your order, please check the “Add a Jamb Kit” in the order inquiry. As door sizes vary greatly, and installation sites need to be considered, it is not possible to quote a fee until we talk with you about your specific requirements.

Jamb Kit Details:

  • Can purchase jamb kit separately for Bore, Mortise, and Hinges
  • Jamb Kit acts as pre-hung – just ships flat w/easy assembly
  • Jamb Kit material is 3/4″ thick for each piece
  • Jamb Kit sides are 82″ long for any 6’8″ size ordered, then 98″ long for any 8’0 size ordered.
  • The header width is determined by the size of the door or doors (if double door application).
